The tumor was gone!!!

Hi Everyone!!

Surgery went well, I’m home now recovering. When the doctor went in, the tumor was GONE!!! Yay!!! They still send all of the tissue and a couple of lymph nodes to pathology to determine if there are any microcells present. The results will determine the amount of radiation and oral chemo if necessary. The results take a couple of weeks from what I understand. I have two drains and a wound vac, the pain is manageable with meds. It’s really challenging not using my arms. I have to have little T. Rex arms for three weeks. Last night, Katelyn’s team hosted a “Think PInk” game to honor those of us that have been impacted by breast cancer. I had no business going straight from the hospital, but I did and the girls, their families and the High School made it so special for me!!!

What wonderful news you shared the tumor was gone. So happy your surgery is over and you are doing well. When Adam designed your t-shirts with Christinastrong he sure knew what he was doing. You are an amazing woman. Stopping at Katelyn’s game had to be good therapy for you. I think it is great the high schools have volley for the cure games. Now be a good little t-rex for the next 3 weeks. Love you❤️

I’m so thankful to hear this amazing news! The fact that the tumor was gone when the doctor went in is such a blessing. I’ll be keeping you in my prayers as you wait for the results, and I’m here for you every step of the way.
