Dear friends, acquaintances, and family of Paul Kerstiens and Alyx Porter,

This is written and organized by friends of Paul and Alyx: Hannah, Ally, and Amanda.

It is with a heavy heart we inform his loved ones that Paul is no longer with us. Paul passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026. He is survived by his loving partner Alyx, their dog Rebel, his family, and friends.

Over the last twelve years, Paul and Alyx have grown from Friendswood High School sweethearts into building a life together in Colorado, with their two dogs Dublin and Rebel. 

They were each other's lifeline over the last decade. His sudden loss is felt deeply by his loved ones. Paul enjoyed spending his time on hikes with Alyx and the dogs, rock climbing and bouldering, and music. He built a career in the music industry and was able to experience traveling the country.

On behalf of Paul and Alyx, we're setting up this fund. We're hoping to raise funds to assist with any or all financial support towards the arrangements and assistance for Alyx. We're hoping to assist with living costs to provide ease of burden while she grieves her partner.

Any words of support, love, or any gift, no matter the type or amount, will go directly toward helping with arrangements, temporary living expenses for Alyx while we navigate next steps, and her bereavement care. 

Thank you all for your love, support, and kindness during this time. Alyx is appreciative of you taking the time to think fondly of Paul and his memory.
