Hello family and friends, We want to share with you about our little Evelyn, who is now 2 years old. Evelyn has a rare genetic disorder and heart disease. She had a tough start right from birth due to trauma, but thanks to quick medical care, she was stabilized with a cooling blanket and treated for a brain bleed. After two months in the NICU, she came home and has been in rehab and therapy ever since.
In her 2 years of life, she has completed a total of 5 procedures; which means her little body has taken heart anesthesia that 5 times. She is followed by 13 caregivers combined. Our weekly schedule can range appointments between cardiologist, gastroenterologist, geneticist, opthamalogist and the list goes on. She also receives therapy from various modules on a weekly basis to help her with fine motor skill, physical, speech and feeding. August, we'll be having a crucial MRI scan to check her heart, and she may need open-heart surgery soon. We are going non stop for our baby girl and we are asking for help where help is needed most.
