GI Update

Following initial testing, Camila’s Pediatric Gastroenterologist (GI) has confirmed that she is in significant GI distress. There is an alarming amount of inflammation in her gut that we are being told is rarely seen in children her age. Given the concern and necessity of diagnostic clarity, Camila will once again be going under general anesthesia for a repeat upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.

We share this update with heaviness. This is not the news we wanted or expected. We do know she is in great hands and are eager to identify the root cause of her discomfort.

Camila’s procedure is scheduled for March 21st. Please continue to keep our family in your thoughts.

I hope they can get to the bottom of GI discomfort for Camila. We will be keeping you all in our thoughts. Anesthesia procedures are never fun but always worth it to get the medical answers/needs addressed. Luckily we are in a great location for talented medical teams.

I am hoping these procedures will provide the answers so Camila can receive the treatment she needs to help with the inflammation. I will be sending thoughts, prayers, meals and whatever else you need so you and Frankie can continue to support Camila. I love the pictures of Camila! 💜
