Noah’s Healing Journey
Noah is continuing to grow and learn so fast these days. His speech has really kicked up! Sometimes when that happens, we can see a little bit of a lull in regards to progress in therapy but it usually corrects pretty quickly.
As we shared before we’re still working on walking. Noah seems to want to hang onto anything possible with his right hand and is still working on gaining that confidence to stand independently and move forward. I have seen him stand on his own for one full minute during physical therapy!! It’s just keeping that momentum going and helping him day by day to gain more confidence to keep going.
In occupational therapy this week we used arm restraints on his dominant arm in order to encourage him to move his left arm hand and fingers. HE DID SO WELL!!! He tolerated the ace bandage for about 8 minutes and he really did use it arm to bang on the play piano Jessie brought for him. She was very impressed with him! We’re going to try and keep going with that technique and incorporate that for short spurts.
We’re so proud of our son for everything he has accomplished so far. We can’t wait to see what else lies ahead. Our hope and prayer is that this stem cell treatment will give him what he needs to make his recovery go that much better- while his brain is so young and making these new connections every day.
Thank you to everyone who is following our journey, reading our updates and supporting us from near or far. We are truly so very grateful and are excitedly looking towards making our goal a reality. Thank you 🙏🏻💚
