We realized we hadn’t made an update in a while so we wanted to share some happenings around our Noah and just life! 

It’s been a long week here at home - Noah has been growing through some major teething so he has been more irritable and fussy than usual. We’re still breastfeeding so that’s been a comfort to him, but navigating that and trying to do therapy (aka things he doesn’t want to do) has been, well, very challenging! 

Regardless he has made some major strides we wanted to share.

Noah seems to have more of an open left hand than closed lately. He had a wonderful session with Jessie at home and really showed off his growing fine motor skills with her. In physical therapy with Danielle we’re working on independent standing/walking with only his left hand being held and squatting to pick things up. 

This week I have witnessed him bang on his high chair table with his left hand (with force) - something I have never seen him do! He also reached out beside his chair to pet our dog!!! The movement was not as smooth as his right, but the fact that he willingly chose to reach out with his left arm to perform that function- without me holding his right hand back, is absolutely amazing. Dad and I were moved to tears 🥲

We finished the week spending some time with friends at a musical event at their home where Noah got to play with other children, which was so nice to see. 

We’re just going to keep swimming and keep on keeping on with what we’re doing 😊
