I don’t think I need to say much. Her joy says it all!

This is the Permobil TiLite Pilot, one of the most lightweight pediatric wheelchairs on the market. It allows Camila to roll longer distances with less fatigue. As she relearns the motor skills to maneuver independently, she’s already discovering new ways to play with toys and read books from a whole new vantage point.

Camila’s basic right to access mobility on her timeline has become a deep passion of mine. I believe in on time mobility as a necessity, not a milestone. Disabled children or children with developmental delays should have access to mobility support alongside typically developing children. That means access to multiple forms of mobility, from adapted ride-ons and gait trainers to wheelchairs. Not just in therapy clinics, but integrated into everyday life.

Movement is not a milestone to earn. It’s a human right and it’s how children discover agency, identity and connection.

Thanks to your support and our continued advocacy, Camila has access to multimodal mobility tools and we are a daily witness to how much it means to her.
